We had a great experience with Big Bike for our 40 days of rental! Both Steve and Bernard took good care of us. We needed tires pretty early in and Bernard got us lined up with a mechanic. It went smoothly and we were out in about 1.5 hours. We did pay for the paperwork to go into Cambodia and had no issues whatsoever, but Bernard said he’d be available to help had we needed it. The bikes were dependable and got us around well on our 3,738 mile / 6,016 km adventure!

Great bike rental company. Good bike, Honda 350cc. Rode it all around Thailand. Had a slight mishap, which caused some damage. This was all sorted very easily and amicably on the bikes return. Would recommend this company.

I’ve rented from this company. This is my second time. I’ve had a wonderful experience. The bikes are well maintained practically new. I like the combination of Bikes they offer. The staff is very accommodating. I definitely recommend and I will be back.

I rented a Honda CRF300 for 10 days. I organised it from Ireland by emailing Bernd. I found the price to be very reasonable. The communication was good and they acknoledged payment once recieved. When I arrived I didn't want to leave my passport as a deposit so I had to leave 40,000TBH in cash! This required 3 ATM withdrawls. I didn't understand why they couldn't take a swipe of my credit card instead but in fairness this is stated from the onset. They said I could give the Euro equivalent or some part thereof, which I did. When my 2,500km ride was complete they simply handed me back the exact same bundle of cash. The bike was fine - I had no issues with it. It might have been no harm for them to give me a can of chain lube going away - I ended up oiling the chain with old motor oil and an old toothbrush which did the trick. If I was renting again in Bangkok I'd have no hesitation in going back to this company - other than the big cash deposit required I can only say good things about them! Declan McEvoy Ireland

These guys are very easy to deal with especially from overseas. They did everything that I expected. It was all too easy. The CBR650 was well prepared and worked as if it was my own bike. I would hire from them again definitely.

Rented 4x Honda 300 CRF. Bige Bike brought them to Chiang Mai and all was in good order. We took the Mae Hong Son loop with some off-road short (or longer) cuts 👌 Then took the train with the bikes to Bangkkk and went to Koh Chang. Had two perfect weeks with the bikes and no issues whatsoever. Also in case of questions via app they always resppnd quickly. Very happy with Big Bike rental and the bikes !

Service: 4/5 Bike Quality: 5/5 Price: -10/5 The bike (CB500X) was in excellent condition and the service was generally good. A big plus was that they allowed taking the bike to Laos (For additional 8K). However, the price was extremely high, especially due to an additional THB 23,000 charged for purely cosmetic damage. In total, I paid around THB 100,000 for 40 days, which is close to the price of buying the bike used. Addition to your response: There was only one single incident, not two. I was fully transparent at all times and informed you immediately, including photos. The incident happened at walking speed; however, as it occurred on a slope, the bike unfortunately slid another one to two meters, which resulted in scratches. Given this transparency, I see no reasonable explanation as to why I would openly report one incident but then conceal another. Therefore, this accusation appears to be unfounded. Furthermore, I visited the Honda Service Center in Chiang Mai and obtained a repair estimate that was significantly lower than the amount now being charged. Unfortunately, they were fully booked for an entire week, which made it impossible to proceed with the repair there. I was aware in advance that your rental price is considerably higher than that of your competitors, and for that reason alone I did not consider this a justification for a negative review. However, charging repair costs that are disproportionately high afterwards does raise concerns and comes across as poor customer service, especially considering that tours in Laos (automatically being off-road–oriented) naturally involve an increased risk of minor damage. As already mentioned, the total amount paid for the renting only (without paying the damage) equals half the purchase price of the motorcycle. Under these circumstances, a certain degree of goodwill regarding purely cosmetic damage would have been appropriate, as is common practice with other providers (I regularly rent motorcycles in Vietnam). P.S. Due to the incorrect accusation, the rating has now been adjusted to one star.
