The scooter rental business looks interesting and they reply fast online which was a good sign. But when I asked what is needed for verification, they said passport photo is required which is normal in Thailand but also a photo of you holding the passport next to your face. In my opinion, that’s not great. If such a photo leaks, someone can do many bad things with it like: identity theft, fake accounts, even scams. I asked if they use any trusted KYC service and which one. After that, they refused to rent me a scooter, saying it’s a "security concern" That feels a bit suspicious.
