Som Motorbike Rental Phuket

Great service, reliable bikes, and very honest owner We rented a relatively new motorcycle from this company for 4 days at 300 THB per day. The bike was in great condition and they provided helmets for both myself and my wife. One important thing to note: you must have an international driver’s license. They won’t rent to you without it, and Phuket police do check - I saw others getting fined. During our rental, the bike unexpectedly died while we were heading to Mai Khao beach to watch planes landing. It started making strange noises and wouldn’t run properly. I contacted the owner via WhatsApp and they responded immediately, saying they’d take care of it. We were close to a repair shop, so the owner spoke directly with the mechanic. The bike was fixed in about 30 minutes and the owner covered all the repair costs. We didn’t have to pay anything, which I really appreciated. It was clearly not our fault and they handled it very professionally. You can tell they take good care of their bikes and won’t try to blame customers for genuine mechanical issues. Originally, the deposit was 3,000 THB, but we were short on Thai Baht cash. The owner kindly agreed to take €100 instead, which was fully refunded when we returned the bike. Overall, very honest people, well-maintained bikes, and excellent customer service. I’d definitely rent from them again and highly recommend them.

I recommend this place! We rented a scooter for 2 weeks and everything was in great condition. For the deposit, we left cash, and it was returned to us in full at the end. We had a bit of bad luck during our trip from Cape Panwa to the airport beach when our tire got damaged and started losing air. We had it replaced at a local workshop and the owner refunded us the full repair cost as well. He is a very honest. Great service and a fair deal 😉

Som is hands down the best person to rent a motorbike from. He offered me a fantastic price and was extremely flexible — you can leave either your passport or cash, and you can be completely assured it will be safe with him. His shop is conveniently located just outside Blanket Hotel (we stayed there too, and it’s a great place to stay). All his bikes are well-serviced and in top condition. I’d highly recommend going for the PCX or ADV — spend a little extra here instead of cutting corners elsewhere, you won’t regret it. Som is very professional; he asked for my IDP and license before renting out the bike, which really shows his standards. He’s also easy to contact and helpful if you get stuck anywhere. If you’re staying in Old Town, just get your bike from him — no second thoughts.
