I recently completed the Ride Chicago two-day beginner course, and I can’t recommend it enough. The instructors were incredibly clear, patient, and genuinely personable. They created a supportive environment where everyone could keep up—no one was left behind. The pace of the course was easy to follow, and the instruction focused on practical, real-world riding skills. After just two days (with almost no prior riding experience), I felt confident enough to take the DMV state riding test the very next day—and I passed! I now have my full license. The course provided plenty of hands-on riding time that directly translates to the DMV test, as well as essential skills for staying safe as a new rider. On top of that, the instructors made the whole experience fun and absolutely worth the investment. I’m incredibly appreciative and couldn’t be happier with the experience—and I’ll definitely be going back to take private lessons to build my intermediate skills.

Ride Chicago is awesome and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I took private lessons with Rachel and she was the best: super knowledgeable, patient and fun. She was very encouraging and as a woman it was nice to see a female instructor. I also took the on site licensing exam with Ride Chicago and it was well run and efficient. The range crew all had great energy on a cold, dark morning and really made everyone feel like we could do it. If you’re thinking about lessons or getting licensed, this is the best place to do it!

Wanted to finally get my Motorcycle license after years of riding without one. Got my permit and rode all last summer but I really wanted to break away from the permit restrictions so to help expedite getting the M endorsement without playing the appointment game with the SOS as my permit was expiring soon so I signed up for the Ride Chicago Motorcycle Safety Course. The Ride Chicago Team are very knowledgeable and Professional while making the process FUN for everyone in the class. I would definitely recommend taking any of their classes if you’re a new rider or a seasoned rider to advanced your skills. Jay and the team were AWSOME. The huge bonus is after completing the class you can schedule to return for the State Test making this process a Big Win for sure. Again thanks to everyone at Ride Chicago and the State Test Examiner for being a Super Cool Guy!!! I will and would recommend Ride Chicago to anyone and everyone..

Jay and Katie were awesome! Both very knowledgeable about many aspects of riding and each individual riding skill to be a safe and skilled rider. They were open to any and all questions, as well as assisting and encouraging motivation. I would definitely recommend them both for any motorcycle training. I would like if there was a way to communicate with someone on the phone before I started the course, but they were very responsive to email and text. Thanks again Ride Chicago.

I took the Basic Motorcycle Licensing Class with Ride Chicago Motorcycle and Driving School, and it was very productive, informative, and fun. I’ve been riding for a while, but I still learned some important fundamentals about riding safely. I found the course very useful. The Ride Chicago team was knowledgeable and professional. I don’t recall their names, but they all deserve credit for the great experience. The practice they provide is thorough. I was able to clear my licensing exam thanks to the training from the Ride Chicago team.

Great experience! I haven't ridden a motorcycle in 30+ years and never did get my license. I figured taking the beginner class was a great way to reacquaint myself and get licensed. I'm so glad I took the course! Jay and Kevin are excellent instructors. They do a great job of teaching the basic skills of riding a motorcycle and they keep it interesting and fun (some of Kevin's jokes weren't half bad either...). Classes are small in size (we had 10 people) so Jay and Kevin are able to watch each person run through the skill exercises and provide feedback and pointers. I think one of the most important things they teach is to trust the motorcycle and how it is going to behave as you perform each maneuver. I highly recommend the course for people with no experience as well as people, like me, that are wanting to get back into it. In this class you'll learn the proper, safe way to operate a motorcycle and you'll also be in great shape to pass the licensing exam.
