Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Matty and Crew at the Downtown Kona Hawaii office did a great job on my rental. Matty helped me find a very affordable cab to take. Her service was excellent, obviously from an employee with many years of knowledge and good service. My truck was clean and available. I have been renting off and on from Enterprise for more than 4 decades now (!). I am very grateful that Enterprise has great service from fine employees like Matty and the Crew there.

Best Experience EVER! I booked a compact car for my wife’s 40th bday weekend. She really wanted a jeep wrangler but it was really expensive and it was also sold out at the airport location. So i booked the compact car 7 miles away from the airport. Maddie helped us and she was very nice and accommodating. Up to our surprise, she pulled up a white jeep wrangler and gave us a complimentary upgrade! My wife cried out of joy and i was too. The way Enterprise made my wife’s birthday was truly awesome and made us feel like a family. I’m an Enterprise fan forever! Again, thank you Enterprise for valuing experience, memories, and special occasions over business.

At the airport, we were told they didn't have "any cars". We took the public bus to the city center and walked to our hotel. An adventure. We decided that not having a car for a week on this giant island wasn't going to work. I called Enterprise myself and they said they had one. We hitched a ride from a nice lady and picked up a Versa. A little dirty on the outside, but whatever. Dude was super cool and gave us a lot of advice on places to see and eat. Car did great as well. Thanks guys for the adventure.

The Chevy Malibu we were provided was on the older side with almost 40k miles. Which is fine but it did NOT start one day. First time experiencing something like this with a rental car. And we were lucky that this happened at our Hilo hotel and not one of the remote places we visited on the island. We had to call roadside service and were charged extra for that! Enterprise counter in Hilo airport did a great job of swapping the car for a different one but still wasn't a good experience

Why offer a pre-check if it doesn’t save any time? I’m giving this location 3 stars because the actual vehicle was fine, but the clerk and process was a total letdown. As I usually do, I completed the pre-check via the app to ensure a smooth, "grab-and-go" experience. However, upon arrival, the check-in seemed to mean nothing. I was required to provide every single piece of information all over again at the counter. I have never experienced this at any other Enterprise location. It begs the question: why ask customers to pre-check if the system isn’t going to talk to the branch? It was a complete waste of time. To make matters worse, I asked about the courtesy drop-off service - which is clearly mentioned on the website - but the staff seemed completely unaware that it even existed. Get your stuff together and sync your digital check-ins with your physical locations please.
