Highly recommended Erin and Wil at Ride Free you will not be disappointed if your thinking of doing a road trip, my son and I chose to do an unescorted trip from LA up through the mountains and hills inland to include Yosemite up to San Francisco and back to LA via the PCH and the BIG SUR, it was amazing the planning and itinerary compiled for us was first class and we never felt on our own they were there via phone if needed and kept in contact the whole time. Excellent service do your self a favour and give them a shot. Thanks guys for a memorable trip !!!

I can highly recommend Wil and Erin at Ride Free Tours for accommodating a bunch of Aussies travelling to Sturgis. From the time we picked up the motorcycles in Denver until we returned the whole trip was just awesome. Nothing was a problem for Wil and Erin. Their daily ride planners for the self-guided tour were exceptional and provided the appropriate rest stops and fuel stops to the great accommodation each night. If you're thinking of doing a drive or ride tour of the USA, you can't go past Ride Free Tours for price and for service. Do yourself a favor and contact them, you will be glad you did.

I rode Route 66 in May 2022 and later the Pacific Coast Highway with Ride Free, and both trips remain among the best adventures I have been on. From a practical standpoint, Ride Free are exceptional. Wil seems to know the roads of the United States the way most people know their local commute. Not just the famous highways, but the right roads, the ones that offer unforgettable views and lead you to small local places you’d never find on your own. His knowledge is encyclopaedic, and it will show when he designs your route. Erin runs operations, accommodation, logistics, pacing are all handled from long experience. Everything is tailored. I wanted small, backwater towns and characterful places to stay rather than major cities, and that’s exactly what I got. If you want big cities and landmarks instead, they can do that too. Ride Free can cater just as easily for groups or individuals. I chose to ride alone, deliberately, because it made it easier to talk to locals at each stop and really absorb the places I passed through. Equally, if you want to take on an adventure with your mates — riding together, sharing the experience, they cater for that just as well. When it comes to the bikes, Wil is first and foremost an experienced rider himself and leads some of the tours. He understands what works over long days in the saddle and will recommend an ideal bike for your trip or source exactly what you want if you have something specific in mind. What I didn’t expect was that one of these trips would end up meaning far more to me than “just” a ride. Because of the timing and planning around Route 66, I happened to be in New York immediately beforehand where I met the woman who is now my wife. That part wasn’t planned, of course, but Ride Free quite literally set the conditions for it to happen. I suspect they don’t often get credited with marriages, but this one belongs on the list. I’ll be back for more trips in the future. Ride Free understands bikes, America, and adventures. Finally, if you do end up on Route 66 traveling through Arizona on the way to Nevada, you may find yourself on the Sitgreaves Pass. Near Oatman If you do then stop at the highest point of this winding mountain pass. It’s not visible from the road but try to find the cowboy graveyard that I stumbled upon.

I mailed Ride Free for information about a guided route 66 tour in September 2026. I had looked up a few companies on line however Wil sent me a WhatsApp promptly and suggested a call.We chatted and he is a super nice guy, very genuine and informative. He was focused on me, what I was expecting and what Ride Free offered.I liked the approach of making the trip as authentic as possible, staying at local hotels as well as big brand names along the way.A huge plus was smaller groups and not a mega convoy of bikes everywhere you go. My son was going to join me but couldn't make it this year due to work commitments so I am chatting to Wil about a Sturgis trip with him for 2027 … my son is already chatting to his boss about 2027 holiday leave 🤞 😎. Thank you Wil for your help so far….you definitely offer an awesome route 66 trip.

Route 66 from Chicago to Gallup, then Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, Wisconsin and back to Chicago. We started planning this trip over a year before we went. We were looking online for tour operators that fitted with wanted. When we came across Wil & Ridefree, we immediately felt that this was the right company for us. Which was confirmed when we reached out. From the first mail when we contacted Ridefree, they have been extraordinarily helpful, eager and interested in making sure we had the best possible experience. But more than that, they understood what we wanted, even before we had formulated it in words ourselves. The daily routes were helpful, worked beautifully and and had a nice mix of efficient driving and fantastic motorcycle roads. The sights varied from the interesting, to the amusing and quirky and to historical sites. The places we were slept were extraordinary, Ridefree managed to find places that were not just places to lay our heads down, but an integral, important and valuable part of the experience it self. From famous historical hotels & motels, to original motels, from the heyday of road travel. When we scratched our heads along the way and had questions about the route, they were there all the time, patient and responsive, whatever day or hour it was. That safety net was simply invaluable. We are so happy that we found Ridefree, they were everything we wanted and then more. They made a vague dream into the adventure of a lifetime. If we were to do this or something similar in the future, we would definitely do it with Ridefree.
