Wow! Incredible, friendly service. We rented an adult bike, basket and helmet. Staff were welcoming and instructive. One even went above and beyond by recognizing that the bike we brought with us (the one we were not renting from them) had low tires and he offered to fill them. We spent the full day at Central Park, I could not have imagined doing it on foot. This company is great, we will be back every time we visit NYC. The only recommendation would be to have laminated maps we could borrow attached onto the baskets so we could have a battery-free map option.

We rented two bikes for one hour from Bike Rent NYC at the Columbus Circle location. The biggest advantage here is definitely the convenience—Columbus Circle is one of the most popular entry points to Central Park, so picking up and returning the bikes was quick and easy. There were plenty of bikes available, and ours were in good condition—well-maintained and ready to go. The service was smooth with no lines or delays, which we really appreciated. That said, the prices felt a bit higher compared to other bike rental options in the city. Unfortunately, CityBike doesn’t allow non-U.S. residents to open accounts easily, which leaves many tourists relying on rental shops like this one. While it’s more expensive than CityBike, this service is still reliable and tourist-friendly. Overall, I’d recommend Bike Rent NYC if you’re short on time or prefer a hassle-free pickup in a prime location. If you have time to plan ahead, it might be worth comparing a few other rental services nearby for better rates—there are quite a few options around. But for speed, simplicity, and location, this one delivers. 1 hour wouldn't be sufficient to see half of the park. Go for at least 2 hour rent. Don't forget that there is 15min. courtesy time and if you exceed that, you will be charged full additional hour fee.

I asked if they had a band aid (my 6yo cut her finger on the bike ride) and there was a first aid kit right there hanging in the window and the employee turned, looked at it, looked back at me and said “sorry no we don’t” . Like what ?! I just paid $120 for bike rentals and we can’t get a band aid from your first aid kit? Crazy

Very bad experience. Very unpleasant salesperson. They don't take credit card deposits. They blame us for not having our passports with us. Then he made fun of me because I pressed several times to print the ticket. As French people, we don't know how to use these machines.!!! In short, not nice😔

Terrible service, staff is really rude, they don’t put the direction right in the map the give you so you get lost and they can charge you for a late return fee. DO NOT RENT WITH THEM, we rented two bikes, which were 15 dollar an hour per bike and we were a minute late and they charged us an extra $30, worst experience ever.
