Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu
You will meet and assist by Parikrama Treks representative. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing and visa processing
Today you will have cultural sightseeing of Kathmandu valley. We make all the visa preparation. We provide a short briefing about the Himalayan Motorbike Tour to Everest. Later we take a short ride on a bike for a test ride.
Day 3: Ride Kathmandu to Nyalam (3700m) 158 kilometers
Early morning scenic drives to Kodari (Nepal-Tibet border). We cross through the Nepalese countryside and riding along Bhote Koshi.
Day 4: Ride Nyalam to Shegar via Tingri (4300m) 234 kilometers
Drive to Tingri via Lalungla pass from where you can enjoy the beautiful view. Mt Xisapangma (8212 meters) and Mt Cho-Oyu (8201 meters) make it more amazing.
Day 5: Ride Tingri to Shigatse (3850m) 240 kilometers
Drive to Shigatse with the beautiful views over the Gyanchula Pass (5200 meters). Continue journey to Shigatse.
Day 6: Rest day at Shigatse
Today we process bikes for observation. Today we will have all Motorcycle paper and license of riders checked. Police will recheck all the permits before leaving further on this tour.
Day 7: Ride to Lhasa via Gyantse (3650m) 351 kilometers
Today, we will have a short visit to Khumbula Stupa and Phalkhor Monastery. Then drive to Lhasa via Yamdrok Lake, and over high passes of Kora la (5010 meters) and Kambala (4794 meters).
Day 8-9: Two full days sightseeing tour in Lhasa
We will be visiting the various interesting sites. Potala Palace, Sera monastery, Drepung Monastery, Norbulingka palace are some of them.
Day 10: Ride to Shigatse (3850 meters) 260 kilometers
Today, we will drive through the beautiful countryside of Tibet. We will enjoy beautiful views and explore the local surroundings.
Day 11: Ride to Shegar (4300m) 240 kilometers
Drive to Shegar with beautiful views on the horizon. Later we cross over the Gyanchula Pass (5200 meters) towards Shegar.
Day 12: Ride to Everest Base Camp (EBC) (5200m) 220 kilometers
Today is a scenic drive to Rongbuk through the beautiful Tibetan countryside. We ride through Tibetan countryside crossing via Lalungla pass. From here you can enjoy the beautiful views of Mt Xisapangma (8212m).
Day 13: Visit Mt. Everest Base Camp and ride to Zhangmu (2300m) 350 kilometers
Ride through beautiful landscapes and the Tibetan countryside. Continue journey to Zhangmu.
Day 14: Ride Zhangmu to Kathmandu
After necessary border formalities, we ride back to Kathmandu.
Day 15: Final Departure
Himalayan Motorbike Tour to Everest journey ends.

Getting There
This tour starts and finishes in Kathmandu, Nepal. Throughout this tour, you will pass and visit Syabru Bensi, Rasuwa Gadi, Gyirong, Old Dingri, Shegar, Lhatse, Shigatse, Gyantse, Yamdrok Lake, Lhasa, Namtso Lake, Rongbuk monastery, and Everest base camp. Tibet was opened to tourism in 1985. Before this, it avoided influence from the West and this country developed its unique culture and religion

Kumar was a great guide and host while in Kathmandu and Tibet. We did some hard riding and he was a very kind and caring guide. Always focused on our happiness he often went out of his way to do the little extras. He is well skilled at touring as a whole and the needs of a traveler. His kindness was shown right to the very end when he invited us to his home for a final dinner. It was a great experience to visit with home and his family while back in Kathmandu. Communication was good and he kept us up to date. Travelling in Nepal can be challenging with road conditions but he did his best to ensure we got to where we needed to be. He gave us an option on Everest and we lucked out with a full view of the mountain on arrival. If you want to see Nepal and Tibet this is a good package.
