Itinerary
Day 1: Bogota - Girardot (4.75 hours / 141 km / 87 miles - mix of paved and unpaved)
- Start the day off riding out of Bogota and into the mountains - Easy off-roading through scenic mountain landscapes - Bring out your swimsuit for a dip in some swimming holes and waterfalls - Spend the night in Girardot
Day 2: Girardot - Tatacoa Desert (5.5 hours / 211 km / 131 miles - mix of paved and unpaved)
- Breakfast in Girardot before making your way down to the Tatacoa Desert - Dinner at a local brew pub in Villavieja - Stargazing at night at the Tatacoa Observatory the best place in Colombia for astro-tourism
Day 3: Tatacoa Desert - Rest day (typically 3-4 hours of riding time all unpaved through the desert)
- Spend the day off-roading through the Tatacoa Desert - Visit both the Red and Grey Desert - Mid-day swimming pool dip to cool down
Day 4: Tatacoa Desert - Bogota (6 hours / 276 km / 171 miles - all paved)
- Long day of riding as you mob back to Bogota - Lunch break in Girardot - End the tour with beers at the Loco Moto office
