Itinerary

1. Day 1: Medellin - Manizales

   - Start time: 9 a.m - Riding hours: 6 - Mileage: 200km - On/off-road: 80:20 Highlights include: - Twisting, turning mountain roads leaving Medellin - Stopover in the quaint town of Pintada - Head up into the mountains on empty, gravel roads - Overnight at a beautiful homestay outside Manizales

2. Day 2: Manizales - Nevado del Ruiz

   - Start time: 9 a.m - Riding hours: 5 - Mileage: 100km - On/off-road: 10:90 Highlights include: - Hours of awesome trail riding up to 4,500m above sea level - Snow-capped mountain tops of the Nevado mountains - Endless fields of frailejón, the strange mountaintop plants - Private, thermal spring baths in the evening

3. Day 3: Nevado del Ruiz - Nevado del Ruiz

   - Start time: 9 a.m - Riding hours: 3 - Mileage: 70km - On/off-road: 0:100 Highlights include: - Morning session in hot spring baths - Descend to Murillo on the other side of the mountains - Optional hike deeper into the snow-capped mountain range - Overnight in a luxury thermal spring resort

4. Day 4: Nevado del Ruiz - Salamina

   - Start time: 9 a.m - Riding hours: 5 - Mileage: 170km - On/off-road: 40:60 Highlights include: - Switchback, dirt trails up into the mountains around Salamina - Visit the wax palms of La Samaria. The tallest in the world - Explore the picturesque, mountain town of Salamina - Overnight at a restored, 160 year old, colonial hotel

5. Day 5: Salamina - Medellin

   - Start time: 9 a.m - Riding hours: 5 - Mileage: 170km - On/off-road: 60:40 - Highlights include: - Breakfast in your rustic, colonial hotel - Coffee stop overlooking the beautiful mountain town of Aguadas - Lunch at a roadside smoke-house en route - View of the Medellin sky-line from the las palmas viewpoint - Finish: 4pm
