Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival

   The first day, you will stay in Krk at the Marina Hotel, where you gather, get to know each other and where you will leave from the next day. You will agree on the itinerary. After that, you will have a guided tour of the city, free time and dinner in one of the many local restaurants.

2. Day 2: Krk - Plitvice (200 kilometers / 124 miles / 3:20 hours)

   The adventure begins through four countries of the region - Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina. You must not let tradition down, so as usual - a beautiful and sunny day dawns. You leave Krk around 8:00 a.m. and today, you tour the Croatian coast. You drive along the Velebit canal to Senj, where you take your first break. 3. Day 3: Plitvice - Zadar - Vodice (240 kilometers / 149 miles / 4:10 hours)

   After coffee, you drive through the Lika region and descend towards the Adriatic Sea, where you continue along the Velebit Channel.    After breakfast, you continue on your way. You stop at several viewpoints of the Šibenik Bridge and at the Primošten lookout point and drive on all the way to Trogir. Trogir has about 13,000 inhabitants. It was founded by Greek colonists from the island of Vis in the 3rd century BC. It was considered the best preserved Romanesque-Gothic city in Central Europe. 5. Day 5: Dubrovnik local (100 kilometers / 62 miles / 6:00 hours)

   Today, you stay for sightseeing in Dubrovnik. Before going to the city, you go to Srđ, to see the panoramic view of Dubrovnik from above. Dubrovnik is the pearl of the Adriatic, and when you climb Srđ, you will understand why. 6. Day 6: Dubrovnik - Kotor - Plav (260 kilometers / 162 miles / 6 hours)

   Today, you get up early and go on an adventure. You are going outside the European Union, you are going for the Montenegro. The road takes you towards the border with Montenegro, crossing which you lose a lot of time. A formality, but a lot of waiting. You are going to Kotor, a small town with about 1,000 inhabitants. 7. Day 7: Plav - Žabljak (160 kilometers / 99 miles / 4:00 hours)

   After a rest and a hearty breakfast, the kind Montenegrins prepare, you move on. The road takes you about 25 kilometers to Andrijevica, where you turn left from the main road onto the mountain road to Kolašin. The road is narrow and winding, and it takes you up to Komov, which are about 2,400 meters high, while the pass itself is at 2,000 meters. You stop, take pictures and have a drink on the pass. 8. Day 8: Žabljak - Nikšić - Podgorica (170 kilometers / 106 miles / 4:00 hours)

   After breakfast, you continue towards Durmitor and the Sedlo pass. Durmitor is wonderful. It is very similar to the Dolomites, but it is much greener and flatter. The Sedlo pass itself is located at an altitude of 1,907 meters. The road is great. After countless stops to take pictures, you descend on a very unusual and fantastic road to Plužine and the lake. The town is located at the foot of Lovcen, between Boka Kotorska, Lake Skadar and the Adriatic Sea. You will just pass through Cetinje and will go to the Njegoš mausoleum on Lovcen, which is dedicated to Peter the Second Petrović Njegoš.     After breakfast, you leave for Sarajevo. You can stop in Jablanica to see the destroyed bridge, the battles on the Nereretva from the Second Constance War and take a walk around Konjic and look at the old bridge. The road leads you to Sarajevo. In order to save a little time, you drive part of the way on the highway. Sarajevo is the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located on the Miljacka river, the right tributary of the Bosna river, and has about 280,000 inhabitants. The city is known for its diversity, and is sometimes called the "Jerusalem of Europe." 11. Day 11: Vitez - Jajce - Bihać (230 kilometers / 143 miles / 4:00 hours)

    You continue towards the west of Bosnia. The road takes you to Jajce. The second session of AVNOJ was held in Jajce on November 29, 1943, where the foundation of the newly formed state - Yugoslavia - was laid. The city has about 8,000 inhabitants, it is known for its distinctive waterfalls and wonderful old town. You must stop, see a little of the city and cafes by the waterfalls. 12. Day 12: Bihać - Krk (200 kilometers / 124 miles / 4:00 hours)

    The last day, the day to return. You go directly home, without any special goals, with the aim of avoiding highways - only locally, to see as much as possible. Admittedly, this tour is much slower, but more beautiful and interesting. You stop for drinks as desired, they suggest in Korenica, Otočac and Senj, to eat pizza in Sinac in Ruspante. Obligatory stop at Vratnik and you are home in the late afternoon. Again, you will sleep in a hotel in Krk.

13. Day 13

    Departure day, the day to return. You go directly home, without any special goals, with the aim of avoiding highways - only locally, to see as much as possible. Admittedly, this tour is much slower, but more beautiful and interesting. Thanks for hanging out... In total, you covered about 2,310 kilometers, spent twelve wonderful days together. In total, you spent about 300 EUR of fuel. You passed through four countries, saw the most beautiful of Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and most of the Croatian coast.
