Upon arrival at the airport in the capital of Croatia, Zagreb, you will meet your tour guide. You can spend the day sightseeing or go straight to the hotel, depending on your choice. It’s also common to organize a short initial ride so you can get comfortable with the bikes, because it would be a real shame not to use the bikes waiting in the hotel parking lot, right? In the evening, a traditional dinner is planned with a discussion about routes, motorbikes, roads, and any questions you may have.
After breakfast, or as the locals like to say here, coffee, the adventure begins. You will head towards a beautiful peninsula of Istria, also known as the Croatian Tuscany. You’ll ride on the local roads, passing through charming small places such as Skrad, Delnice, and Hum. Your goal is to see the unforgettable Rovinj. As this is also the hometown of your guide and his wife, you’ll experience a most special welcome, and you don’t have to count the toasts, of course, though you won't be overdoing it since you are on bikes and on the road.
After breakfast, you will continue your journey. You will enjoy a bit more riding through Istria, after which you will head to see the islands of Cres and Krk. A short ferry ride will first take you to Cres and then to the island of Krk, a highland with many bays and pebble beaches with riveting views, drawing your attention away from the narrow road ahead, also having a great view of the entire Kvarner Bay. On your way there, there is a surprise for you, your guide knows a place for taking a perfect selfie.
You will leave Krk and continue your ride along the coastline, all the way to the city of Zadar. You can’t imagine just how beautiful that ride will be! On this day, you will take the ferry twice because on your way to Zadar, you will also be shown the island of Pag. Pag is also called the moon, and you’ll understand why when you see it. Adventure day is ahead. Mountains, rivers, old monasteries, national parks with beautiful lakes… and everything to end the day in the old city of Split. You have to see it, experience it. Although you will spend your day riding through the continental part of this region, all the way to Split, with every kilometer of this route, you will notice a constant change of scenery and nature. To be able to feel this charm of Dalmatia, words are almost not necessary. It is up to you which impressions you wish to share over dinner.
You can call this day a rest day, but you will still ride a little… and not just anywhere, you will explore the island of Brač. The island of beautiful beaches, vineyards, olive groves… and the island of one of the most beautiful viewpoints in all of Croatia. Finishing again in Split in order to show you that beautiful city and where you will have dinner, and exchange impressions from the trip, which you will easily finish in the next two days.
Plitvice Lakes are one of the most famous national parks in this area. On that day, you will also use the highway to the rich northern part. After getting off the highway, you will have to cross a mountain pass. A great day for riding. Dinner and overnight is in Plitvice Lakes.
Today is your last day on the road. But before leaving for Zagreb, and after breakfast, a visit to the national park is organized for you. It will take you two to three hours, however, a special experience to see all these lakes and waterfalls…
