The route crosses an extraordinary diversity of scenery, from Mediterranean islands and limestone cliffs to high mountain plateaus, lakes, wetlands, and river valleys — few regions in Europe offer such variety within such a compact distance. Along the way, several stops reveal places marked by the events of the 1990s, offering historical context and local perspectives that shaped the region today.
The journey begins in Split, with a short ride past the historic center and Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site marking the start of the route. Leaving the city, the ride joins the iconic Adriatic Coastal Road, often considered one of the most beautiful motorcycle roads in Europe. Riding south, the road follows the coastline in a continuous flow of curves and sea views, with a relaxed stop along the Makarska Riviera, in Baška Voda or at the Stomarica viewpoint above Brela. The day ends in Gradac, where the group settles in and gathers for a welcome dinner.
Leaving Gradac in the morning, the route turns toward the Pelješac Peninsula, crossing the Pelješac Bridge and entering one of Croatia’s most renowned wine regions. The ride follows scenic roads winding through vineyards and small villages before descending toward Orebić, where the maritime character of the region becomes evident. Here, historic captains’ houses and the Maritime Museum reflect the town’s long seafaring tradition and connection to sailing and trade. A ferry crossing takes the group to Korčula Island, adding a classic island-hopping element to the day. Guests have time to explor
Leaving the coast behind, the route turns inland toward Bosnia and Herzegovina, following the emerald waters of the Neretva River through one of the most dramatic river canyons in the region. The road winds along steep limestone cliffs, offering continuous views over the river below. In Jablanica, a stop at the Museum of the Battle for the Wounded on the Neretva recalls the pivotal World War II battle fought in this valley. Nearby roadside stops offer the opportunity to taste traditional “pita ispod sača”, a local specialty prepared under an iron bell. Continuing upstream, the ride leads to Ko
One of the most striking riding days takes the group from sea level deep into the Biokovo mountains. The road climbs steadily through changing landscapes, revealing wide views over the Adriatic. A stop at the Biokovo Skywalk offers a dramatic pause before continuing toward Sveti Jure at 1,762 meters above sea level, the highest peak of Biokovo and one of the highest road-accessible mountain summits in Croatia. The descent shifts the rhythm entirely, flowing down toward the hinterland with sweeping bends and changing scenery. After lunch, the route passes through the valleys and vineyards aroun
This day is intentionally unstructured, giving guests the freedom to slow down and enjoy Gradac at their own rhythm. The morning is relaxed, with the option of a late breakfast. During the day, guests can choose between sea kayaking, a photo walk along the village and coastline, or a light hike on the Biokovo trails above Gradac. There is no fixed schedule; the day is designed for rest, gentle movement, and time by the sea.
An early ferry crossing sets the tone for a full day on the island of Hvar, combining relaxed island travel with scenic coastal and inland roads. The route crosses the Stari Grad Plain, a UNESCO-listed cultural landscape shaped by ancient Greek land division and cultivated for more than 2,400 years. Stone walls, vineyards, and olive groves reveal a living agricultural system dating back to the time of Pharos. The ride continues to Hvar Town, where guests can explore the historic harbor and climb to the Fortica (Španjola) Fortress for panoramic views over the Pakleni Islands and the Adriatic Se
The day begins in Ston, home to historic salt pans among the oldest still active in Europe and the impressive Ston Walls, one of the longest preserved fortification systems in Europe. A walk through the town and a visit to the saltworks provide insight into the region’s maritime and defensive history. Continuing south, the route reaches Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where guests explore the old town, Stradun, and historic harbor at a relaxed pace. Leaving the city behind, a stop at the Trsteno Arboretum offers a quiet green contrast before returning along the coast.
The day begins in Počitelj, a historic hillside town overlooking the Neretva Valley. The route continues to Mostar, where guests explore the old town and its iconic Old Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a symbol of cultural crossroads and resilience. The visit includes the Museum of Genocide in Mostar, providing historical context to the conflicts of the 1990s and their impact on the city. Following the river south, the journey continues to Blagaj and the Buna River spring beneath dramatic cliffs, an atmospheric stop and a relaxed place for lunch. In the afternoon, the route leads to St
The final day begins with a relaxed departure from Gradac, returning once more to the Adriatic Coastal Road. Riding north, the route follows the shoreline in a rhythm of curves and open sea views. Near Omiš, the landscape shifts dramatically as the road approaches the Cetina River canyon, offering sweeping views of limestone cliffs and the river below. The route then turns inland behind the Mosor mountains, following quieter backroads through villages and rural landscapes. The final kilometers descend toward Split, bringing the motorcycle journey to a natural close.
Gradac, a small fishing village, is home to one of the longest beaches on the Adriatic, stretching along crystal-clear waters at the foot of Biokovo Mountain. From this unique seaside setting, riders experience exceptional landscape diversity within a very small radius. The scenery shifts from Adriatic coastal roads to alpine mountain climbs, freshwater lakes, waterfalls, river canyons, and wetlan
