Overview
You will start the route at Doña Rosita fritadas, in the south of Quito, in Valle de los Chillos. These 56 kilometers of route may not sound like much; however, they are quite demanding, and some skills are definitely needed. A thick forest, steep hills, and clutch maneuvers characterize the route. Pure nature that takes you to 3950 meters above sea level, which makes it physically demanding. Traction depends on the roots you take to keep moving forward. Your front wheel, with no weight on top, is riding as if it had a life of its own. This is the strategy for this route. As you descend to the La Merced area, you have acres and acres of playground to play around and polish your riding skills a bit more.
