Then, via France's leading lobster fishing port, you'll follow the coastline and its cliffs, discovering some magnificent coves. You can stop off at Canari or Albo before reaching the island's most beautiful paoline tower and its black pebble beach. You'll soon come within sight of Corsica's wine capital, before reaching your evening stopover and its white sandy beaches. Overnight in a three-star hotel

Follow the guide through the Agriates, a protected area of outstanding beauty. You'll take one bend after another through some stunning scenery. You'll take little-known mountain roads through olive groves, lined with cactus and prickly pear. You'll reach typical little villages, and keep an eye out for cows, which will almost certainly be roaming free. The landscape will then take on a lunar and truly desert-like quality, before returning to the Balagne and offering you breathtaking scenery. Take a break in Belgodère on the village square in front of the church, before continuing on the craft

  3. Day 3: From Calvi to Porto (150 kilometers / 93 miles)

You'll climb back up to the Palmarella pass, where the views are breathtaking. The descent continues between scrubland and cliffs, through a succession of small bends and charming villages where you'll want to take a coffee break! You'll soon catch sight of a superb little village by the sea. You'll reach the famous Calanche de Piana and an ancient Greek-influenced village with numerous churches. You'll skirt the seafront before heading inland. Watch out for the pigs that can cross! You'll soon reach the chestnut capital and descend into the magnificent Gorges, where you're sure to come across

  4. Day 4: From Porto to Corte (130 kilometers / 81 miles)

That day, you'll reach a charming village known for its Genoese bridges and olive groves. You'll reach Corsica's highest road point. Then it's back down the winding road to the shores of a lake.
