Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Nice
Arrival in Nice and check-in at your hotel. You will meet the guide and the rest of the group for a briefing on the raid. The evening will continue with a good friendly meal before returning to the hotel, ready to start the adventure the next day.
Day 2: Mont Viso (230 kilometers / 143 miles)
Departure from Nice towards the North to cross the Col de Tende and enter Italy. We take beautiful small roads and tracks that take us into the heart of the mountains, to the foot of the emblematic Mont Viso, where you will spend the night.
Day 3: Pinerolo (190 kilometers / 118 miles)
Heading north, with much of the day spent on beautiful Italian forest trails, with Monte Viso in our rearview mirror. You will reach the Chisone Valley for the night.
Day 4: Susa (170 kilometers / 105 miles)
In the morning, you will climb the rocky slopes of the Col du Sommeiller at 3,000 meters. Its technicality is matched only by its lunar beauty! Continue with the spectacular ascent to Fort Jafferau, perched at 2,805 meters, via a panoramic military road. The descent to Susa, with the passage of the Saracens tunnel, will be just as impressive.
Day 5: Guillestre (200 kilometers / 124 miles)
Early in the morning, you will attack the Strada dell'Assietta. A 34-kilometer track perched at more than 2000 meters. Breathtaking! You will then cross the fortified town of Briançon, the highest in Europe, then the Durance valley by beautiful forest tracks to reach Guillestre which awaits you for the night.
Day 6: Tende (250 kilometers / 155 miles)
After the Col de Vars, the Moutière track welcomes you. It runs parallel to the summit of La Bonnette, the highest road in Europe. You will continue on beautiful tracks after the Col du Turini and arrive in Tende for the night.
Day 7: Nice (140 kilometers / 87 miles)
A pretty lost track guides us to the Tende pass which marks the entrance to the Alta Via del Sale, an ancient trade route which gives us its lunar tracks perched at an altitude of over 2,000 meters. You will finish these tracks at the border between Italy and France. Just a few more kilometers and here you are back in Nice where the hotel awaits you for the last night of this raid.
Day 8: Departure
Depending on your departure times, enjoy the Nice region a little longer before heading back.
