This 5-day adventure takes you deep into Guatemala’s untamed heart—from the cobblestone charm of Antigua Guatemala to the wild rivers and Mayan trails lod the Altiplano After a welcome briefing and overnight in Antigua, the journey begins with a spectacular ride around Volcán de Fuego, crossing more than ten rivers on rugged trails surrounded by volcanic peaks. You’ll follow the historic Ferrocarril del Norte—the old railway that once connected the Pacific highlands to the Caribbean—riding through sugarcane fields, pine forests, and remote villages that seem untouched by time. Each day brings a new landscape: the highlands of Cobán, the waterfalls of Semuc Champey, and the tropical lowlands that lead to the Caribbean coast. Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Guatemala City & Transfer to Antigua
Upon landing at La Aurora International Airport (GUA), our team greets you and transfers you to the colonial city of Antigua Guatemala. Nestled among volcanoes, Antigua’s cobblestone streets and historic charm are the perfect start. A welcome dinner introduces you to your guides and fellow riders.
Day 2: Antigua to Panajachel
You set off from Antigua toward Panajachel, an ancient Mayan citadel on the river of the Atitlan lake. The ride to Panajachel will take the group around the Volcan the Fuego crossing more than 10 rivers.
Day 3: Panajachel to Chichicastenango
The ride continues trough the Highlands to reach the colorful town of Chichicastenango hosting one of the most famous market in Central America.
Day 4: Chichicastenango to Antigua
Today, the trail leads back to Antigua, along ride trough mountains and valley in the area of Tecpan. The evening is marked by a celebratory farewell dinner in one of its colonial courtyards.
Day 5: Departure
Private transfer to La Aurora International Airport for your flight home. You leave not only with memories but also with the spirit of Guatemala’s forgotten trails in your heart.
