Overview

Holi Festival is celebrated on the full moon day in the month of 'Phalgun' as per the Hindu Calendar, mostly it occurs in the month of March. Enjoy every evening by listening and dancing to Holi traditional folk songs. Chang is the instrument and Dhamaal is the traditional Holi song. You will be a witness to a land of heroic kings and their great fortresses. Camel is an animal of State Rajasthan, why don’t you go for a camel safari and sit on the back of a camel and tie a colorful Rajasthan’s turban! During this tour, you will feel the rich cultural music and dance of ancient Rajasthan.

Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Delhi - Jaipur

    Get received by a Sand2Snow representative at Indira Gandhi International Airport and get transferred to Jaipur by a private AC coach. Jaipur, the Pink City, was founded by the ruler of Amber Jai Singh II in 1727. The name of the city is after its founder Jai Singh. Evening free and stay in hotel.

  2. Day 2: Jaipur sightseeing

    Today, you will have a full-day tour of the Pink City, Jaipur. Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Amber Palace, and Jaipur's traditional bazaar will be the main attractions. You will witness a beautiful sunset at a hilltop fort Nahargarh followed by seeing the city lights from the top of the hill restaurant. Come down to the city and stay in a hotel.

  3. Day 3: Jaipur - Sambhar (90 kilometers / 56 miles)

    Today you will meet your tour partner, the retro motorcycle Royal Enfield. Say good morning to your travel partner, have breakfast, and start the motorbike ride to the saltwater lake Sambhar Lake. The ride will proceed through the real Rajasthani villages and village life. Sambhar Lake is India's largest saline lake and it will be a very thrilling ride on the dry endless surface of the salt lake. The evening would be free to explore the heritage town of Sambhar and stay on the banks of Sambhar Lake.

  4. Day 4: Sambhar - Pushkar (120 kilometers / 75 miles)

    Take a rural road to an old holy lake called Pushkar. It is a very famous holy town among Hindus, called the Adobe of Lord Bramha. The world’s only temple dedicated to Lord Bramha is here. The beautiful Pushkar Lake is a sanctified spot, considered as old as the creation, and has been a place of pilgrimage since time immemorial. It is surrounded by 52 bathing ghats, where people come to take a dip with deep religious faith rooted in their hearts. See ghats, bazaar, and stay for the night.

  5. Day 5: Pushkar - Kumbhalgarh (280 kilometers / 174 miles)

    Get ready to see the predominating change in land and culture. Ride through plans and enter into the beautiful hills of Arawali. Kumbhalgarh is a World Heritage Site included in the hill forts of Rajasthan. The fort was built by Rana Kumbha in the 15th century and it is claimed to be the second-longest continuous wall after the Great Wall of China. The evening is free to explore the fort and nearby. Stay in a hotel.

  6. Day 6: Kubhamlgarh - Jodhpur (195 kilometers / 121 miles)

    Ride down from the hills and pass through the beautiful villages of Cattleman. Today's best attraction would be the temple of Bullet Baba. A Royal Enfield motorcycle and its rider are being worshiped by thousands. Listen to the story and continue the ride to Jodhpur. Now you are in the Marwar region of Rajasthan. Today is the start of the traditional Holi Festival, by burning effigies in the night. Join the festival and stay in a hotel.

  7. Day 7: Jodhpur sightseeing

    First half of the day is reserved to enjoy the Festival of Colors, Holi. The colors, sweets, and music will be arranged at the hotel itself. You will play and enjoy Holi till lunch. After lunch, you will go on a city tour to Sun City, Jodhpur. It was founded by Rao Jodha, the leader of the Rathore Clan, in 1459 AD. The mammoth, imposing fortress (Meherangarh) has a landscape dominating a rocky ridge with the eight gates leading out of the fortress. Jaswant Thada, Umaid Bhavan Palace is the rest of the attraction of the day. You may opt to rest for the day or go for sightseeing. Have a stay in

  8. Day 8: Jodhpur - Pokhran (175 kilometers / 109 miles)

    See the changes in landscapes as well as in culture. You will be riding towards to Jaisalmer, the driest place in Rajasthan. Continue the ride in arid land to Pokhran, an old town in the Thar Desert that offers a very beautiful fort and views. Stay at Pokharan Fort at night.

  9. Day 9: Pokhran - Jaisalmer - Sam (160 kilometers / 99 miles)

    Today will be the most awaited day of the entire tour program. A giant fortress will appear on the back of a hill, standing alone in no man's land the barren Thar Desert. You will reach the living fort, Sonar Ka Quila, the second oldest fort in Rajasthan, built in 1156 AD by the Rajput Rawal (ruler) Jaisal from whom it derives its name, Jaisalmer Fort. Have a visit to the great fort and admire its beauty. Have lunch at a fort-view rooftop restaurant and continue riding to the real sand dunes.   10. Day 10: Jaisalmer - Delhi (overnight journey)

    Ride to explore the desert and the rest of the attractions of Jaisalmer. Board an overnight train to Delhi from where you may board your respective flights.
