Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive at Delhi International Airport
On arrival in Delhi, a representative will receive you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Delhi, the capital of India, is a vibrant city where ancient and modern India coexist. Spend the evening relaxing and getting ready for an early morning flight to Leh - Overnight: Hotel in Delhi - Meals: Breakfast.
Day 02: Delhi - Leh (By Flight)
Fly to Leh early morning, your first stop in the Himalayas, at 3,505 m / 11,500 ft. A representative will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. Since acclimatization is key at this altitude, this day is reserved to do rest. Day 03: Leh (Rest Day)
A day to rest, acclimatize, and explore Leh town. Visit Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, or local markets. Riders can also use the day to service their bikes for the upcoming high-altitude routes. - Overnight in Leh - Meals: Breakfast and Dinner
Day 04: Leh - Nubra Valley (160 km / 99 miles / 6-7 hours)
Cross Khardung La (1,633 m / 17,578 ft), one of the highest motorable passes in the world, and descend into Nubra Valley. The landscapes shift to dunes and orchards, with the chance to see double-humped camels. - Overnight in Nubra Valley - Meals: Breakfast and Dinner
Day 05: Nubra - Pangong (200 km / 124 miles / 7-8 hours)
Take the scenic and adventurous Shyok route to Pangong Lake. The road runs through remote valleys and riverbeds before reaching the sparkling blue waters of the lake. - Overnight at Pangong Lake - Meals: Breakfast and Dinner
Day 06: Pangong - Hanle (200 km / 124 miles / 7-8 hours)
Ride along the Changthang Plateau towards Hanle, a remote village near the Indo-Tibet border. Hanle is famous for its monastery and one of the world’s highest observatories. - Overnight in Hanle - Meals: Breakfast and Dinner
Day 07: Hanle (Excursion to Umling La - 150 km / 93 miles round trip / 6-7 hours)
A big highlight of the expedition: Umling La (1,793 m / 19,298 ft), the highest motorable pass in the world. The ride is challenging due to extreme altitude and rough terrain, but incredibly rewarding. Return to Hanle for the night. - Overnight in Hanle - Meals: Breakfast and Dinner
Day 08: Hanle - Tsokar (160 km / 99 miles / 6-7 hours)
Today’s ride leads across vast plateaus and wildlife zones, with chances to spot kiangs (wild asses). Arrive at Tsokar Lake, a high-altitude saltwater lake surrounded by stark Himalayan beauty. - Overnight near Tsokar Lake - Meals: Breakfast and Dinner
Day 09: Tsokar - Leh
- Cross Tanglang La (1,625 m / 17,484 ft) and then ride towards Sarchu and Baralacha La before descending into Jispa. The landscapes are dramatic and ever-changing. - Overnight in Jispa - Meals: Breakfast and Dinner
Day 10: Leh + Depature
- With a heart full of memories and a spirit renewed, now it is time to leave the mountains behind. Transfer to Leh Airport for your flight back to Delhi.
