Leaving Rome you will depart towards Civitavecchia and take the evening ride to magnificent Sardinia. The morning wake up and coffee on this beautiful island and hop on the bikes, you will start the islands magnificent journey.

Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Arrival to Rome

    Welcome to Rome, an extraordinary vibrant and beautiful capital of magnificent Italy. Adventure Roads Limited are happy to welcome you and assist you in preparations for your marvellous journey. Depending on your arrival Adventure Roads Limited recommends that you to take a tour of this unique and lively city. In case you arrive only one day before the tour, Adventure Roads Limited will gladly recommend the best of what Rome has to offer. However, Adventure Roads Limited do recommend scheduling your arrival one or two days earlier, so you could do some good and relaxing sightseeing in Rome and

  2. Day 2: Rome - Civita di Bagnoregio - Civitavecchia - evening boat to Sardinia

    After breakfast, you will have a short briefing covering the most important aspects of riding in a group and you will repeat the most useful information concerning the tour. As the tour starts, you will be heading towards the nature park Braccian and a nearby lake Vico, until you reach Civita di Bagnoregio. After some sightseeing, you will visit the Saturnia Hot Springs and if there will be enough time, you may enjoy the baths before catching the evening boat to Sardinia. You will have a relaxing dinner on the boat and spend the night in your cosy cabins.

  3. Day 3: Olbia - Arbatax

    In the morning you will reach Sardinia and the beautiful city of Olbia. Once on the solid ground, you will have a short coffee and hit the exciting roads of the magical Sardinia. Riding along the coast towards Arbatax, you will enjoy the motorcycle paradise full of twisty roads, beautiful sceneries, and amazing local food.

  4. Day 4: Arbatax - Oristano

    Leaving Arbatax in the morning, you will take some truly wonderful local roads through the Sardinian inlands all the way to the city of Oristano, known for its quiet but memorable charm.

  5. Day 5: Rest day in Oristano

    Take a break and enjoy the beautiful Oristano and its surroundings. Historically significant and overfilled with natural beauty, the western province of Oristano in Sardinia is a subtle mix of culture, old world traditions, and beautiful scenery. The province is known for its iconic landmarks, charming ruins and historical events in the city, including the variety of the bird species, luscious landscapes and natural splendour of the coastline, mountains and the surrounding regional parks.

  6. Day 6: Oristano - Bosa - Alghero - Santa Teresa

    Your journey continues along the magnificent western shore of Sardinia. After a short while you will reach the city of Bosa. This is the starting point of the most famous Sardinian motorcycle road. Take a deep breath of Mediterranean air, twist the throttle and sharpen your senses! You will be taking breaks along the way to enjoy the sea, perhaps take a swim, have a cappuccino, and visit some attractions along the road, such as a famous cave and an Elephant rock. In the evening you will reach the city of Santa Teresa for a delicious dinner.

  7. Day 7: Santa Teresa - Bonifacio - Ajaccio - Porto

    After breakfast, you will have a short ride to the sea port, where you will board the ferry to Corsica. After only a short sail, you will be in France! Bonjour! Here you will visit a beautiful city of Bonifaccio - a Mediterranean port situated on the cliffs of Corsica. The city and its fortifications extend along the cliff-tops, which are at about 70 meters (230 feet) elevation. The cliffs have been undercut by the ocean so that the buildings, which have been placed on the very lip of the precipice, appear to overhang it.   8. Day 8: Porto - Calvi - Saint Florent

    Gulf of Porto Corsica, a Unesco Heritage site with natural reserves and breath-taking scenery. Cliffs, mountains, gorges, volcanic caldera, beaches - there is lots to see! High cliffs in a hard-pink stone shaped by the wind over millions of years. The steep 200 to 300-meter cliffs are very impressive and best admired at sunset when the colours are even more intense. This is a 250 million years old Caldera where the exposed rocks have been shaped by the sea and wind erosion.   9. Day 9: Rest day in Saint Florent

    After the excitements of the day before, take the time to let the impressions settle and stop for a break at Saint Florent - a sailboat marina with many charming restaurants and beaches. The surrounding area is famous for its vineyards, producing some of Corsica’s best wines. There are literally dozens of vineyards to visit on the ‘Route des Vins’ - make sure to follow the brown road signs.

  10. Day 10: Saint Florent - Cap Corse - Bastia - Saint Florent

    Today you will enjoy a ride around the Cap Corse, a 40-kilometre long peninsula located at the northern tip of the island. Numerous historians have termed Cap Corse "the Sacred Promontory" and have gone so far as to suppose the name came from a high concentration of early Christian settlements. At the base of it is the second largest city in Corsica, Bastia.

  11. Day 11: Saint Florent - Bastia - Livorno

    A short morning ride will take you to Bastia, from where you will board the ferry to Livorno and return to Italy. From Livorno, you will take a splendid ride through the fascinating region of Tuscany. On your way to San Gimignano, you will pass through Pisa, famous for its lean tower and many other cultural and historic locations and works of art.

  12. Day 12: San Gimignano - Siena - Montepulciano - Porto san Stefano

    While riding through the magnificent Tuscany and enjoying its natural and cultural sights, you will pass the amazing medieval city of Siena and continue your way back to the Tyrenean Sea and Porto San Stefano.

  13. Day 13: Porto San Stefano - Rome

    On your last day in the saddle, you will take a ride through the Italian inlands and fill your memory with some more beautiful sceneries. Finally, you will reach the marvellous Rome and return to your hotel. After a short rest, you will relax during your delicious farewell dinner and have fun remembering the highlights of your great journey, while making plans and preparations for the next one. Enjoy!

  14. Day 14: Departure

    Depending on your departure flight, you might choose to have another short tour of Rome, enjoy some more Italian coffee on the city streets and squares, or a nice farewell drink with a view of the beautiful Roman arena. Have a great time and Adventure Roads Limited see you next season!
