Overview
The ride comprises a series of Hub rides starting & finishing at your luxury B&B accommodation. This tour also includes a bonus of a 3-day ride (away from base). You will cruise along stunningly scenic routes, through medieval villages passing through the famous vineyards of Barolo, and along the “Italian Riviera”, stopping at tranquil coastal villages along the way. A visit to a local winery for a wine-tasting experience is included in this tour and is a perfect opportunity to sample the famous culinary delights of this prized region of northern Italy.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Arrival in Italy and collection from Turin Airport. Luxury minibus transport to “Cascina Belbo” and check-in. After settling in, there will be a short briefing about the tour program and time for any questions followed by an evening meal at a local restaurant.
Day 2: Moncenisio, the smallest community in Italy
Following breakfast, ride north passing Turin towards the French border and along valley Susa arriving at Moncenisio, a small stone house hamlet nestled in the foothills of the French Alps. Overnight stay in a small family-run hotel on the shore of a small lake.
Day 3: Haute Alpes - Passes Telegraph & Galibier
Cross the border into France through Col du mont Ce-nis, believed to be the same pass that Hannibal used for his famous elephant Alps crossing. From there, you head along a beautiful alpine road to the Col du Galibier which is the sixth-highest mountain pass in the Alps (8678 ft). It is often the highest point of the Tour de France cycle race. You will stop overnight after your descent in Briancon, alternatively at the Napolean refuge on the Col D’Izoard France.
Day 4: Colle di Agnello – homeward bound
Depart for your homeward journey, a scenic ride back through another “high pass” through the Cotian Alps, Colle del Agnello, and back to base. Time permitting, you will stop for lunch en route in a small alpine village before the last leg of your journey back to base
Day 5 – No riding day
Enjoy a minibus excursion to a local winery and a wine-tasting session followed by lunch at a typical Piemontese restaurant.
Day 6: Coffee and ice cream
A relaxing local ride to some characteristic villages, antique coffee shops, and the wine town of Barbaresco home to the famous Gaja winery and an 11th-century medieval watch tower. Stopping for lunch along the way in Alba followed by ice cream in one of the best “gelaterias” on the planet (Mike’s personal opinion). Then a winding ride back through the vineyards of Barolo back to base at Cascina Belbo. Returning to base early evening, followed by light supper and farewell drinks at the end of an adventurous week.
Day 7: Breakfast and farewell
Minibus drop-off at Turin airport. “Arrivederci” – until next time!

Accommodation
