Itinerary

1. Day 1 - Arrival in Orta San Giulio

   Arrival of participants in Orta San Giulio on the Orta Lake. Visit of the UNESCO-listed Sacro Monte. Group briefing and dinner at the hotel. Transfer to Orta from Milano airport for those arriving by plane with a rental option.

2. Day 2 - Orta - Lake Como (204 kilometers / 127 miles)

   A nice ride to start the day. You'll leave the plains of Lombardy to head to the Alpine peaks with Mount Rosso in the backdrop. You will follow Lake Maggiore then Lake Lugano and its beautiful lakefront. You can enjoy the funicular Monte Bre. Then along the lake and a detour through the balcony of Italy, one of the most beautiful panoramas of the Lake District, you will reach Lake Como and its famous villas.

3. Day 3 - Lake Como - Chiavenna (113 kilometers / 70 miles)

   You will start your day by following Lake Como at sunrise to reach one of its most beautiful and famous villages: Bellagio. Then passing through the peninsula, you will visit the museum of the motorcycle factory Moto Guzzi in Mandello del Lario. You will then leave the lake to head towards the foothills of the Italian Alps.

4. Day 4 - Chiavenna - Dolomites (267 kilometers / 166 miles)

   Today you will climb the legendary Stelvio, the highest mountain pass in Europe from where the panorama is breathtaking, as well as the pleasure of riding! Then you will discover the charm of the region of Trente Alto Adige, an Italian region with a strong cultural identity. You will ride your bike between orchards and vineyards perched on the slopes of mountain to Mendola Pass. Welcome to Italian south Tyrol.

5. Day 5 - Dolomites - Cortina d'Ampezzo (182 kilometers / 113 miles)

   The Dolomites Mountains and valleys await you for this stage rich in turns and passes: Gardena, Sella, Pordoi, Falzarego. The Dolomites offer unique landscapes in the Alps. Stop in its typical villages where high mountain life seems so harsh and out of time. Then you will reach the famous resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo.

6. Day 6 - Cortina d'Ampezzo - Trento (279 kilometers / 173 miles)

   You leave Cortina to reach the Giau Pass where the view is breathtaking. Then you will cross the Dolomites National Park and its incredible landscapes and pass like the surprising Passo San Boldo. You will make your way west towards Trento with a stop at the Monte Grappa, one of the biggest World War I memorials in the Dolomites.

7. Day 7 - Trento - Bergamo (219 kilometers / 136 miles)

   After a ride on the lakeside road on the Garda Lake, you will take one road listed as one of the most beautiful scenic roads in Italy: the Strada del Forra, which offers the best panoramic views of the lake. Then after riding along the Iseo Lake, where the riva boats are built, you will reach Bergamo, a city rich in history and heritage.

8. Day 8: Departure from Bergamo

   Today is the day of your departure. Optional: FREE!! Enjoy 3 more days of free riding for those who choose to bring back the motorcycles to Ride in Tours' office.
