Itinerary
Day 1: Meeting in Milan
You will meet in the afternoon in your hotel in Milan and go together to pick up the rental bikes, if there are any. Day 2: Milan - Sestri Levante (260 kilometers / 162 miles)
You will start your journey westbound, straight towards the Mediterranean Sea. However it will not be straight, as you will start turning, going up and down, with an exciting ride through the Apennines, to arrive at the famous Ligurian Riviera, where you will arrive in Portofino, favorite stronghold of the international jet set since the 60s. You will be visiting two UNESCO World Heritage Sites for today, riding the Tuscan hilly roads. First stop is Pisa and its magnificent Renaissance testimony. After a complete visit of the Piazza dei Miracoli, with its impressive cathedral (Duomo), its baptistry, and its famous Leaning Tower.
