Experience the best of Kenya in four days! Ride across deserted Ngong tarmac roads, weave through zebra-filled plains in the Maasai Mara, and tackle the adventure gravel tracks of the Southwestern Mau National Reserve. Curve your way toward Lake Naivasha for a peaceful morning boat ride among hippos before cutting through open fields on your final stretch back to Nairobi. With 55–60% gravel roads and no Enduro skills required, this tour is perfect for riders seeking a true African adventure without depending on technical experience.
An early start to the day! You meet at a mutually agreed spot with an 08:00 sharp debrief and a quick meet-and-greet. You start the engines and ensure you leave by 08:30. You head towards Ngong Hills! You take a quiet bypass to Suswa and enjoy the scenery. At Narok, you stop for lunch. After lunch, you do an adventurous detour to Sekenani gate, along an exciting gravel track. When you have time, you visit a community project. You stay the night at Oldarpoi Mara Camp. This is a sustainable tourism camp in which profits are invested in the local community. You end the day relaxing at the campfir
You will wind around the main road northwards, and you will explore tracks and paths only used by the Maasai people and wildlife. There will be animals along the way. You will notice that the landscape changes from dry hill to lush green areas. After your lunch break at Bomet, you take an adventurous route along the Mau National Reserve. It will be a mix of asphalt and gravel. You slowly climb the mountain range, and you end up at 2500 meters high! So pack your sweater.
Today, you slalom your way through Western Kenya. You ride over a mix of asphalt and gravel roads, passing countryside villages and towns. You ride through the ‘back gardens' of Lake Nakuru, and you plough your way south to Lake Naivasha. You might have a picnic along the road. Your adventure ends at the shore of Lake Naivasha, where you stay at Eslamere Lodge, part of the Elsa Conservation Trust. Enjoy the nature, visit the education center, or bump into a giraffe that decided to wander in the gardens.
After your lunch, you go for a boat ride and meet the wildlife on water: from the hippo to the fish eagle, and anything in between. Then you hit the road again. You do a ‘shortcut’ via single trails through the fields and along the train tracks. Then you hit the tarmac and find yourself for a brief moment in the hell of the big trucks. But quickly, you take a southern bypass and scroll your way to Nairobi.
During the tour, you will stay in a variety of accommodations, ranging from safari tents and eco-lodges to locally owned Kenyan hotels.
Lunch will be served at simple local restaurants along the route, where locals commonly dine. Dinner will be a more substantial meal enjoyed at the hotel’s restaurant.
