Overview
The trip to Kyrgyzstan by motorcycle is a journey through the spectacular nature of the small Central Asian country: its mountains and majestic lakes, its spectacular mountain passes, its nomadic culture and tradition still in force. You will travel by motorcycle, also on horseback, and you will sleep in the traditional yurts of the nomads. You will visit places like the Fairy Tale Canyon, Lake Issyk-Kul or Tash Rabat, one of the most famous caravanserais in the world. Itinerary
Day 1, Saturday: Bishkek - Ala Archa - Bishkek
Arrival to Bishkek. To acclimatize, today you will spend the day in the capital and its surroundings. You will visit the Ala Archa park in the morning and the Chon-Kurchak gorge and the Chui Valley. In the afternoon, you will visit the city: Oak Park, Ala-Too Square, Philharmonic, Manas Statue, Victory Square, Osh Market. Dinner in a traditional restaurant.
Day 2, Sunday: Bishkek - Son-Kol Lake
You will start the long route to Lake Son-Kol. You will drive along the spectacular M41 road, which is part of the old Silk Road, passing through spectacular mountain passes, with incredible landscapes. Lunch en route in the town of Kyzyl-Oi / Chaek and arrive at the lake in the afternoon. Free time to enjoy the incredible landscape and surroundings of Lake Son-Kol. Rest and night in a yurt.
Day 3, Monday: Son-Kol Lake - Tash Rabat
You leave Lake Son-Kol along the slopes towards Naryn, where you will have lunch. After lunch, you also go along tracks and asphalt to the famous caravan of Tash Rabat, one of the most important enclaves of the Silk Road, and the current meeting point of multiple overland travelers who are preparing to cross to China through the Torugart Pass. Night in yurts in Tash-Rabat.
Day 4, Tuesday: Tash Rabat - Torugart - Lake Kol Suu
Today, you have a 200-kilometer offroad route through one of the most spectacular areas of Kyrgyzstan: the border region with China, the Torugart Pass, and the Tian-Shan Mountains. You will approach the impressive alpine lake of Kol Suu, a unique place. Mount on the horse to visit the lake. Night in yurts at a local camp.
Day 5, Wednesday: Kol Suu - Naryn - Kochkor
In the morning, an interesting and intense route along the slopes to Naryn, where you will have lunch. You will follow the route to Tash-Bashat through the Eki-Naryn Gorge. You will arrive at Kochkor, where you will spend the night.
Day 6, Thursday: Kochkor - Tamga
In the morning, you will take a short break. You will leave towards the Skazka Canyon (Сказка). Food en route. You will arrive at the Tamga guesthouse, where you will rest and contemplate the beauty of Lake Issyk-Kul. Overnight in a guesthouse.
Day 7, Friday: Tamga - Karakol - Cholpon Ata
After breakfast, you will leave en route along the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. You will visit Jeti-Oguz and then the town of Karakol and its unique wooden church. Lunch in a local cafe. You will follow the route to Cholpon Ata. Overnight at a hotel on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul.
Day 8, Saturday: Cholpon Ata - Burana - Bishkek
After a restful morning on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul (optional visit to the local petroglyphs), you leave for the capital. En route, you visit the Burana tower, which marks the beginning of the original site of the town of Karakhanid, Balasagun. Arrival to Bishkek and rest.
Day 9, Sunday: Return flight
You take the flight back to your home country at the Manas de Bihskek International Airport.
