Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. You'll be greeted at the airport and escorted to 4-star hotel. After lunch, take a half-day city tour to Gandan Monastery where you will see huge gold plated Buddha, a symbol of Mongolian national pride and cultural revival. Also, visit National Museum of Mongolian History, where you will see artifacts from Mongolia and Central Asia from the Stone Age to the present. There will be an excursion to Zaisan Hill War Memorial to get your bearings with a panoramic view of the whole city. You will have overnight stay in the hotel and your lunch and dinn
Day 2: Ride to Hustai National Park
Meet tour team then ride on your motorbike to Hustai National Park. You will see wild Takhi, the Asian wild horse. Enjoy small hiking and photographing the charming landscape and wildlife. Visit Takhi's small museum and have an overnight stay in tourist camp. All your meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are included.
Day 3: Ugii Lake
After breakfast, you will ride to Ugii Lake (1,387 meters’ altitude and 25 square kilometers’ surface area). You will visit local horseman family on the way. There, you will have an opportunity to experience their way of life, culture, and traditions. There you will take a boat rent. Overnight stay will be at a tourist camp. All your meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are included.
Day 4: The Karakorum and Erdenezuu Monastery
Today's destination is the symbolic ruins of the Karakorum, which was the capital city of Great Mongol Empire founded in the 13th century by Genghis Khan. On the way, you will see Khusuu Tsaidam, a Turkic inscribed monument of the Turkic State (6th - 8th Centuries A.D). You will also visit the oldest Monastery Erdene-Zuu built in 1586, with 108 stupas. Your overnight stay will be in a tourist camp near Orkhon river. Your breakfast, lunch, and dinner for this day are included.
Day 5: Elsen Tasarkhai Sand Dunes
After breakfast, you will drive to Elsen Tasarkhai, a unique area of forest and sand dunes. After lunch, you can ride through the sand dunes. Your overnight stay will be in tourist camp. Your breakfast, lunch, and dinner for this day are included.
Day 6: Ulaanbaatar
After breakfast, you will have a drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Visit Bogd Khan Palace, which is a series of beautiful traditional buildings, where the last religious King of Mongolia resided. You may choose an optional city tour where you will be taken to souvenir and cashmere shops before enjoying an evening concert of National Folklore. Your breakfast, lunch, and dinner for this day are included.
Day 7: Departure from Mongolia
You will be transferred from your hotel to the airport. Your breakfast is included.

Accommodation
During this tour, you will be staying at several different accommodations such as hotels and tourist ger camps. They believe that a comfortable, welcoming accommodation is vital to the enjoyment of your trip. You will be staying in a standard 3-4 star hotel in Ulaanbaatar and a tourist ger camp (traditional dwelling) with currency (220V), shower, and other useful services (2 to 4 people per ger) in the countryside. All accommodation offered by Discover Mongolia is personally checked by their staff to ensure high standards.
Food
In Ulaanbaatar, you will be dining at fine European and Asian cuisine restaurants. Mutton, beef, rice, and noodles form the basis of the Mongolian diet, so your meals will be based around this. However, the trail rations may include vegetables, eggs, peanut butter, cheese, and sometimes yak! On some days, there will be lunchboxes from tourist camps. It is good food and their experience has been that guests are happy with this arrangement. Please let them know in advance if you are a vegetarian. Alcohol is not provided on the trip but tourists are free to bring their own.
