Arrive in Larvik by your own means. It is recommended to take the ferry from Hirtshals in Denmark. The crossing is fast, affordable, and drops you off directly in Languesund. A hotel room is reserved in your name. This evening, a welcome briefing with the guide is scheduled.
- 350 kilometers (217 miles) & 5 hours 30 minutes The road takes you through the fjords of the West of the country, with stops to see the legendary medieval wooden churches: the Stavekirke.
- 350 kilometers (217 miles) & 5 hours 30 minutes Continue north through the fjords. The breathtaking views will force you to stop for contemplation. You will arrive in Geiranger for the night, the starting point of the famous Troll Road: "The Road of the Giants."
- 360 kilometers (224 miles) & 5 hours 30 minutes Tackle the Trollstigen, literally the "trolls' passage," also known as the "road of the giants." This gigantic asphalt snake is a must-see ride in Norway. Afterward, continue to Trondheim for the night.
- 380 kilometers (236 miles) & 5 hours Continue the journey north and spend the night in the Norwegian countryside at Moesjen.
- 400 kilometers (249 miles) & 6 hours Cross the limit of the polar circle! Officially, you enter the Arctic dimension of this road trip. Reach the coast to take the ferry to the Lofoten, where a well-deserved rest awaits after six days of adventure.
- 120 kilometers (74 miles) & 2 hours 30 minutes The Lofoten Islands are a group of islands and peninsulas connected by spectacular roads, passing through mountains and cliffs that plunge into the Norwegian Sea. You have the option to explore the islands with a quick loop, go hiking on your own, or simply rest at the hotel.
- 420 kilometers (261 miles) & 5 hours 30 minutes Start a big day of riding by crossing the Lofoten Islands from west to east toward the North Cape. Many photo stops will be required to capture memories of the stunning landscapes.
- 370 kilometers (230 miles) & 5 hours Ride through the Picea Excelsa, the Norwegian firs, toward Alta for the evening. Alta is famous for its northern lights in winter.
- 270 kilometers (168 miles) & 4 hours Signs confirm it: temperatures have dropped drastically, reindeer roam the roadsides, and vegetation is stunted by the cold. It’s the big day—finally! Reach the North Cape, the northernmost point of the European continent, and appreciate the moment at the globe symbolizing the location. Afterward, continue to Honningsvag for the night.
- 380 kilometers (236 miles) & 5 hours 30 minutes Head south and tackle the track portion of the road trip. Pass through Finland and navigate the first few kilometers of tracks as part of the Lapland crossing.
- 320 kilometers (199 miles) & 5 hours 30 minutes Enjoy a full day of riding through the slopes of Lapland, keeping an eye out for reindeer, which are more numerous than the inhabitants in this region.
- 430 kilometers (267 miles) & 5 hours 30 minutes Cross the Arctic Circle once more and leave Finland to enter Sweden. A day of mainly road connections, with some beautiful sections of tracks.
Goal for the day: rest and enjoy a sauna! Embrace Swedish tradition to the fullest.
- 350 kilometers (217 miles) & 5 hours 30 minutes Pick up the TET (Trans European Trail) from Sweden, guiding you south. The daily ride will include beautiful trails in the middle of the woods. Spend the night in Haxas.
- 250 kilometers (155 miles) & 5 hours Wide TET tracks guide the journey, winding through fir forests south toward the Norwegian border.
- 290 kilometers (180 miles) & 5 hours 30 minutes Nearly two hundred kilometers of tracks bring you back into Norway. The land of the Trolls welcomes you with open arms and marks the end of the off-road portion of the trip. Spend the night in Trysil.
- 340 kilometers (211 miles) & 5 hours The final day takes you back to Larvik on the south coast of Norway, by the North Sea. This marks the end of the Arctic adventure that will surely remain as one of your favorite experiences. You can take the ferry to Hirtshals in the evening or leave the next day.
