Itinerary
Day 1: Drive from Oporto to Sabrosa, heart of the wine region (180 kilometers / 112 miles)
Drive from Porto to Sabrosa, riding on the Douro Valley roads and the famous N222, awarded as the 2015 world's best road. The whole road is asphalted and includes heart-stopping 93 bends. It’s said to be the 2015 world's best road. N-222 cuts right through the heart of the Douro Valley, offering amazing views of the terraced hillsides. This day you will also visit two view points here you will understand why the Douro Valley has one of thee UNESCO World Heritage.
Day 2: Drive from Sabrosa to Guimarães (150 kilometers / 93 miles)
Drive from Sabrosa to Guimarães (the birth place of Portugal), going on the famous N304, elected by Ford as the best driving road in Europe. Ride and explore the Alvão National Park, visit “Fisgas de Ermelo” and the view point “Senhora da Graça”. You will also have time to explore the Guimarães a charming and historic city.
Day 3: Guimarães to Oporto (100 kilometers / 62 miles)
Time to head back to Oporto, riding thru the Atlantic Coast.
