Itinerary
Day 1: São Bartolomeu de Messines - Santa Clara-a-Velha
Meet at the base of Buggy and Bike at 9:00 a.m. for a briefing and the delivery of your chosen vehicles. You will discover during this ride the splendid region of Algarve. Then, you will depart from Sao Bartolomeu de Messines, located just 20 kilometers north of Albufeira. The circuit begins in the Algarve region, to encroach on the Alentejo region. This is an off-road circuit that will take you between landscapes and enchanting colors to culminate in the late afternoon at the "Barragem S. Clara." Day 2: Santa Clara Velha - Vila do bispo
The ride continues by tracking through postcard landscapes to reach Vila do Bispo, a small town 22 kilometers west of Lagos. It is a pretty village with old typical Algarve houses, grouped around the 16th-century church. This "far west" area is still untouched by mass tourism and has beautiful beaches and beautiful countryside. Day 3: Vila do bispo - Moncique
This is an off-road circuit that leads through enchanting landscapes and colors to Cabo de São Vicente, a cape at the southwestern end of Portugal. Although not the westernmost point of the Iberian Peninsula, it is the last offshoot of the Algarve in front of the Atlantic Ocean. Leaving the ocean behind you, you go inland to arrive in Monchique in the late afternoon and check in at a three-star hotel. Day 4: Moncique - Silves - São Bartolomeu de Messines
Crossing the eucalyptus forests at 900 meters, you will experience an immersion in nature along the banks of the river Guadiana and through the Serra do Caldeirão, a production area of cork and typical villages. You descend to Silves for lunch and have a chance to visit the medieval city. You will return in the early afternoon to São Bartolomeu de Messines at the base for the delivery of your rented vehicles. Transfer to Albufeira for your hotel accommodation in the center. The evening is free for you to enjoy the Portuguese nightlife and dinner.
