Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Cape Town → Strusbaai \| 335 kilometers (208 miles) – 15% Off-Road

    The meeting point is at the motorcycle rental location in Cape Town, where you can change clothes, get acquainted with your motorcycle, attend the initial briefing, and complete all paperwork. You ride out via Chapman’s Peak, continue to the Cape of Good Hope, and then head south toward Strusbaai. This is a full and exciting first day combining scenic paved roads with light off-road sections.

  2. Day 2: Strusbaai → Riversdale \| 245 kilometers (152 miles) – 25% Off-Road

    Leaving Strusbaai, you visit the Meishu Maru shipwreck before stopping at Cape Agulhas for a group photo at the meeting point of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. You cross the Langeberg Mountains via Tradouw Pass, enjoy lunch in Barrydale, then begin a challenging and undeniably beautiful off-road section through Gysmanshoek Pass, finishing the day in Riversdale.

  3. Day 3: Riversdale → Knysna (Brenton-on-Sea) \| 300 kilometers (186 miles) – 40% Off-Road

    Departing Riversdale, you ride 10 kilometers of off-road terrain to reach the base of Garcia Pass, crossing the Langeberg once again. After the pass, 104 kilometers of pure South African off-roading lead toward Robinson Pass. You stop in Oudtshoorn for lunch and refueling before descending to the coast via the stunning Outeniqua Pass. You then follow the N2 for 70 kilometers to reach Brenton-on-Sea near Knysna, your spectacular seaside destination.

  4. Day 4: Knysna → Prince Albert \| 270 kilometers (168 miles) – 50% Off-Road

    Leaving the coast at Knysna, you head north via Kom Se Pad toll road, enjoy the climb toward Spitskop, and continue on to Uniondale. You pass through the dramatic Meiringspoort, stopping at the waterfall that plunges 60 meters, before completing the final paved stretch into the charming Karoo town of Prince Albert.

  5. Day 5: Prince Albert → Ladysmith \| 215 kilometers (134 miles) – 55% Off-Road

    The day begins with a guided visit to the remarkable Cango Caves near Oudtshoorn. You then tackle the iconic Swartberg Pass with 30 kilometers of off-road riding, reaching elevations above 1,500 meters. After lunch in Calitzdorp, you ride through the dramatic Seweweeksport before arriving in Ladysmith for a well-earned rest.

  6. Day 6: Ladysmith → Aquila Safari Park \| 230 kilometers (143 miles) – 50% Off-Road

    Leaving Ladysmith, you enter the vast Anysberg Nature Reserve, where a 110-kilometer off-road section combines flowing tracks with more technical terrain and abundant wildlife. You refuel in Montagu before riding the final scenic stretch to Aquila Safari Park, where you enjoy lunch, check in, and prepare for a private safari to observe elephants, giraffes, lions, buffalo, rhinos, hippos, and more.

  7. Day 7: Aquila Safari Park → Cape Town \| 225 kilometers (140 miles) – 0% Off-Road

    The final riding day takes you through the fertile Breede Valley and over the spectacular Franschhoek Pass. You return to Cape Town, refuel and wash the motorcycles, return the bikes, collect your luggage, and conclude an unforgettable week of adventure motorcycling in South Africa.
