Make your childhood dream come true and ride a motorcycle in the endless freedom of the African wilderness. On this expedition, you'll ride around Mount Kilimanjaro, meet wildlife in Arusha National Park, and finally wash off the dust of the road in Zanzibar in the thousand shades of turquoise of the Indian Ocean.
Arrival in Arusha, Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO), from where a transfer will take you to your Bauhaus-style villa. Acclimatization, followed by a pleasant African dinner.
With a full-day safari experience, you continue to get used to the climate and speed of life in Africa. Arusha National Park encompasses a diverse range of landscapes, including lakes, savannahs, mountain forests, rivers, waterfalls, and the Meru Mountains, a dormant volcano that rises to 4,562 meters above the park's floor, serving as its crowning feature.
A quick practice day to become comfortable with the bikes. After leaving Arusha, you travel on the south side of Kilimanjaro while enjoying views of the mountain via freshly paved and gravel roads. After stopping at a secret oasis for a swim and lunch, you hike up to your lodging on the mountainside, where you can end the day with views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
The beauty of the Mawenzi and Kibo peaks will be with us as you travel. You will have the opportunity to converse with the local Chagga inhabitants, who serve as Kilimanjaro's defenders and keepers. When you get to the Kilimanjaro National Park's entrance, you'll have the opportunity to take a shower beside a 75-meter-tall waterfall. By the foot of Africa's tallest peak, the route will be nicely winding and curvy.
A typical dusty African road takes us to the town of Longido, where we are accompanied by grazing wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, and antelopes. You take a look at Ol Doinyo Lengai, or the Mountain of God, before arriving at Lake Natron, the mating ground of the flamingos.
Zebras, antelopes, and herds of wildebeest accompany us as you go back to Arusha across steep terrain. You said goodbye to the savannah that evening as you relaxed in your Bauhaus villa.
After breakfast, you take a flight to Zanzibar. On the first day on the island of Spices, you explore Stone Town, an outstanding historical and artistic center in East Africa, where you will discover a yet unknown facet of Tanzania.
You again take to the saddle of Royal Enfields to explore the island at your own pace with complete freedom. If you feel like it, you can enjoy the white sandy beaches in the shade of palm trees, snorkel in the turquoise waters, or just get a massage and eat well. These two days are really all about easy cruising.
You roll back to Stone Town, where you say goodbye to Enfields and head to the harbor to enjoy the rest of the day and the sunset from the deck of a catamaran. In the evening, you return to Stone Town for your last night.
Transfer to Zanzibar airport, and return home.
On the mainland 3 nights in a Bauhaus-style villa in Arusha, 3 nights in African lodges, 2 nights in an authentic hotel in Stone Town, and 2 nights in oceanfront resorts in Zanzibar.
3 meals per day before the motorcycle tour (2 days), breakfast and dinner during the Kilimanjaro motorcycle tour, and on the last day (5 days in total), breakfast on the remaining days in Zanzibar (4 days).
During this once-in-a-lifetime trip you will be crossing the Kilimanjaro National Park, home to Africa’s highest mountain, coming face-to-face with spectacular wildlife in the Unesco World Heritage site of Ngorongoro Crater and washing the dust off in the turquoise water of the Zanzibar archipelago. Doing this on two wheels makes the trip just as exciting for hardcore bikers as for those who are y
