Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Arrival

    You will arrive in Kampala and take delivery of rental bikes. Spend the rest of the evening resting. It’s an early start tomorrow. - Accommodation: Hotel

  2. Day 4: Hoima town (150 kilometers / 93 miles)

    Today, you ride to Hoima town and spend the night near Lake Albert. Along the way, you ride through small villages on some great off-road sections. - Accommodation: River Lodge - Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch, evening meal

  3. Day 9: Kisoro town (280 kilometers / 174 miles)

    Today you ride around Lake Bunyonyi. It is in southwestern Uganda between Kisoro and Kabale, and it is close to the border with Rwanda. The lake appears on the 5,000 Ugandan shilling note under the title "Lake Bunyonyi and terraces". Those that chose gorilla safari will ride to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, meet your guide and do a gorilla trek. Depending on the location of the gorillas, this could take from 30 minutes to four hours and is physically demanding, but often the words once in a lifetime experience are used when what they mean is an amazing experience but trust us THIS IS ONCE

  4. Day 10: Gorilla / Rwanda (130 kilometers / 81 miles)

    Those that have chosen gorilla safari will ride to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, meet your guide and do a gorilla trek. Depending on the location of the gorillas this could take from 30 min to 4 hours and is physically demanding, but often the words once in a lifetime experience are used when what they mean is an amazing experience but trust us THIS IS ONCE IN A LIFETIME. If time permits, you will cross into Rwanda and head toward Kigali. - Accommodation: Hotel - Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch, evening meal

  5. Day 11: Kigali

    Today you will spend the day in Kigali and experience the sights and sounds of this amazing city. You will visit genocide memorials and the Kigali museum. Here you will be saddened by Rwanda’s past but hopeful for its future nowhere on earth has a people learned what peace and harmony mean, and this makes Rwanda one of the safest places in Africa, and visitors are always greeted with a smile and friendship. - Accommodation: Hotel - Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch, evening meal

  6. Day 12: Geita (430 kilometers / 267 miles)

    Today you will spend the day riding tarmac roads to Geita, a town in Tanzania. Border crossings take some time and are all part of your African adventure. If you cross the border in good time, you will stop at Rusumo Falls. - Accommodation: Hotel - Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch, evening meal

  7. Day 13: Serengeti National Park (417 kilometers / 259 miles)

    Today you will swap your bikes for a vehicle and head for the Serengeti National Park. It is a long drive and along the journey, you will pass many Masai villages with the opportunity to get some pictures with Masai warriors. Your bikes will be transported to Nairobi where you will be reunited in 4 days. - Accommodation: Lodge - Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch, evening meal

  8. Day 14: Serengeti National Park (300 kilometers / 186 miles)

    Today you do an early morning game drive in what is arguably the best national park in Africa. Today your camera will be your best friend. After the drive, you head for Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most beautiful places in the whole African continent. Time to enjoy a beer watching the sunset over the Serengeti from your safari lodge. - Accommodation: Safari lodge - Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch, evening meal

  9. Day 15: Kilimanjaro (260 kilometers / 162 miles)

    Today, after lunch, you head for Kilimanjaro. On the way, expect to see Masai people. You may get the chance to stop at Arusha, famous for its culture and history. Catch amazing views of volcanic Mt. Meru. - Accommodation: Safari lodge - Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch, evening meal

  10. Day 16: Kilimanjaro

    Today you stay in view of the amazing Mt Kilimanjaro. You can choose to visit a Masai village, learn about the culture, and history of these noble people, take a walk, spot wildlife, or just drink in the splendor of Africa’s highest peak.   11. Day 19: Kisimu (250 kilometers / 155 miles)

    Today, you head to Kisimu town, riding through valleys and mountains to cross Lake Naivasha town. The views are amazing but vigilance is needed the Kenyan police are good at handing out traffic fines for speeding. - Accommodation: Hotel - Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch, evening meal

  12. Day 22: Kampala (150 kilometers / 93 miles)

    Today you head to Kampala, passing Mabira forest. You may encounter traffic jams and your patience will be required. This is your chance for a last drink with your newfound friends, time to swap tales and agree to stay in touch, and who knows maybe meet again on an adventure? - Accommodation: Hotel - Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch, evening meal
