Itinerary
Day 1: Hoi An - Nam Tra My (210 kilometers / 130 miles)
As you ride through rice paddies, you will see local farmers working in their fields before you travel over a 25-kilometer section of off-road mountain trails that take you through isolated rural communities. You will also ride through the photogenic Thu Bon River delta on a local ferry, capturing a glimpse of everyday rural Vietnamese lifestyles and heading deep into the heart of Central Vietnam. The trail takes you through a number of ethnic minority villages where you stay overnight.
Day 2: Nam Tra My - Kon Tum via Indochina border (260 kilometers / 162 miles)
After morning coffee at the base of the Truong Son Mountain range, you start the ascent towards Dak To. You experience twists and turns through ethnic minority villages before breaking through to the border mark of the tripoint between Vietnam - Laos - and Cambodia. You will motorbike on a smooth sealed road through rubber tree plantations plantation, and some off-road then arrive at Kon tum town at 5 p.m.
Day 3: Kon Tum - Mang Den via Gia Lai, off-road day (180 kilometers / 112 miles)
Today’s big challenges for off-road! The ride is packed with incredible scenery and memorable surprises, as the mountainous route takes you through remote villages where foreign visitors are rare and enthusiastically welcomed. Visit rubber plantations and learn what the locals do for a living. Stop at Ede ethnic minority village to experience pleasure with their unique culture, must be the highlight of the trip. You will finish the enjoyable motorbike ride today at about 5 p.m.
Day 4: Mang Den - Quang Ngai (220 kilometers / 137 miles)
Today’s drive crosses the historic East Ho Chi Minh Trail, through lush forests and past jaw-dropping views of the central Vietnam Mountains. You will visit another village of ethnic minorities where the culture and traditions remain untouched and onto one of the most authentic hill tribes to remain in Vietnam. Continuing the adventure on the East HCM trail, you traverse through lush forests with beautiful views of the central Vietnam mountains, and just when you thought it couldn’t get any more beautiful, you arrive at a waterfall. Along the way, you will see happy children waving to welcome
Day 5: Quang Ngai - Hoi An (160 kilometers / 99 miles)
On this day, you will visit the My Lai massacre site, it was the Vietnam War mass killing of between 347 and 504 unarmed civilians in South Vietnam on March 16, 1968, committed by the U.S. Then, you will go along the coast with many shrimp lakes of local families, and stop on the beautiful beach before getting the local ferry to a small island rarely visited by tourists. Then, take another ferry, you continue riding along the coast. Ride through the rice field, crossing on a floating bridge, and stop to take beautiful pictures before back to Hoi An.
